3 day Combined Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW) and Paediatric First Aid (PFA) OFQUAL RQF training course
Description
This 3 days combined Level 3 OFQUAL RQF First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid training course complies with the guidelines and criteria as defined by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) in respect of the 1981 (First Aid) Regulations. This combined course is suitable for those delegates who have to deal with both adult and paeditraic first aid emergencies at their workplace. Delegates will learn the skills and knowledge to provide First Aid treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner. The topics covered in this course are taught and assessed in accordance with current guidelines published by the Resuscitation Council (UK).
Legislation from the Department of Education requires all newly qualified level two and three child carers to have either an emergency paediatric first aid or full paediatric first aid certificate. This combined course satisfies the guidelines and criteria as laid down by OFSTED for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Duration
This combined course is taught for 22 hours and 25 minutes over 3 days and consists of theoretical and practical sessions. This combined course can also be spread over a maximum of 10 weeks, ensuring that each session is a minimum of two hours (subject to extra cost).

Assessment
Assessment is ongoing by the instructor. There will be verbal, written and practical assessments throughtout the course.
Certification
HSE compliant Level 3 OFQUAL RQF accredited First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid certificates of course completion from an awarding body lasting three years will be emailed within 48 hours to the lead person subject to successful completion of the course by the delegate.

Important Information
Please note that delegates must be at least 16 years of age and physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.
Delegates should have good English literacy and numeracy skills to understand the course and to complete the assessments.
Please also note that ID will need to be checked at the outset of the course for candidate verification process.
- The training room should be quiet and of appropriate size.
- Staff should be off work and not expected to be on duty.
- Staff attending should remain on the course for the entire duration of the training course.
